Wilderness Skills, Nature Connection & Ecological Stewardship Wrapped in Lots of Adventure and Play
At Vilda, we strengthen our connections to the natural world. We spend time outdoors with our hands in the dirt and feet on the ground. We plant trees, clear brush, look for frogs, eat wild plants, make a fire by friction or dye a shirt with berries. We learn real skills that allow us to remember that we truly are an important part of this landscape. The kids in our programs experience hands-on that they can make a positive difference in the world.
Vilda, a 501c(3) non-profit offers summer camps, after school programs, homeschool programs, backpacking trips, specialty workshops and more. When you choose our programs you are supporting access to nature connection for all, and the continuance of earth skills for the future generations.
SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAMS
Small group outdoor nature connection programs for ages 4-13 available during the school year. Homeschool, after-school, school-break and more. Our core curriculum guides us as we learn earth skills that were once a way of life and now too rare. We play, listen, laugh, sing, hike and come back a bit dirtier than we left to share the stories of the day.
Summer CAMPS
Vilda’s beloved nature day camps are an organic, all natural, local, free range, 100% awesome summer experience in the hills, lakes and bays of Marin, Sonoma & Tahoe. Wilderness skills, nature connection and ecological stewardship wrapped in lots of adventure and play.
ADULT PROGRAMS
Vilda is not just for kids. Earth skills and nature connection are essential for adults as well. While there is no "no adult left indoors" movement yet, we think there should be. Unlike more academic courses, our programs are active, hands on and place-based. Come learn and play with us.
